About YeahZu

Ever look at something or seen a photo and wonder, "What is that"?  Well, YeahZu is a showcase of these quandaries.

YeahZu is the first website showcasing (what we like to call) "abiguously-represented imagery in specified, limited regions". Simply put, this is  the process of taking an image, positioning it, and zooming into to it so that only a small (vague) portion of the image is viewable. After pondering over what exactly the image is, the YeahZu module allows the rest of the image to be "revealed", showing what the image really is.

Using this "gestalt" technique, one can come up with some pretty creative and zanny YeahZu's.  At first glance, what might look like a woman's cleavage might actally be someone's knuckles. A seamingly gross portrail of hairy wrinkles might atually be a picture of an innocent sharpay.  Or an image assumed to be of wet, sexy lips might actually be a picture of jell-o.

And because this technique can be used with virtually any image, depending on your creativity and originality, the possibilities are endless. Just remember that you'll be zooming into the image, so it's better that the image is large and clear to begin with

It's really that simple... Take a photo (preferably one of your own and UNTOUCHED), upload, position, size and post. After that, feel free to show off it off by e-mailing to your friends, posting on your Facebook or  MySpace, or Tweeting about is.
